Conduit Pipes Details
PNB Pipes manufactures rigid PVC electrical conduit — the pipe and every accessory that goes with it — for concealed and surface wiring in homes, offices, showrooms and industrial buildings. Conduit is the part of an electrical installation nobody sees and nobody thinks about until something goes wrong inside a wall, which is precisely why we make it to a standard that means it never has to be opened again.
Conduit Pipes
Our rigid conduit pipes conform to IS 9537 and are available in medium and heavy gauge across sizes from 20 mm to 50 mm. The material is fire-retardant, self-extinguishing uPVC: it will not sustain a flame, and being non-conductive it cannot become live if a cable inside it chafes. The bore is left smooth and free of internal burrs so cable pulls through cleanly on a long run instead of snagging and stripping insulation — the difference between a twenty-minute pull and an afternoon of trouble.
Conduit Fittings & Accessories
A conduit run is only as good as the boxes and bends holding it together. Our accessory range covers bends, couplers, junction boxes, inspection boxes, deep and surface boxes, terminal boxes, saddles, clips and glands, all in matching 20 mm to 50 mm sizes and all moulded from the same fire-retardant uPVC as the pipe. Push-fit and solvent jointing options let an electrician assemble a run quickly and still get a mechanically solid, properly supported installation with clean access at every junction.
Protection That Actually Lasts
Wiring buried in a wall or run across a factory ceiling faces moisture, dust, vibration, impact and rodents. PVC conduit shields against all of them, and unlike metal conduit it cannot rust from within, cannot corrode where plaster stays damp and needs no earthing of its own. It stays dimensionally stable through the heat of an Indian summer and the damp of a monsoon, so the run you close up today behaves the same way in fifteen years.
Colour-Coded, Bundled, Ready to Fit
We supply conduit in white, ivory and grey, bundled and clearly marked by gauge so material arriving on site can be sorted at a glance rather than gauged by feel. That matters on a job running several circuits of different duty, where fitting a medium-gauge length where heavy gauge was specified is an easy and expensive mistake to make.
Choosing Between Medium and Heavy Gauge
The two gauges are not interchangeable and the choice is about mechanical protection, not current. Medium gauge suits concealed wiring in walls and ceilings of homes, offices and showrooms, where the conduit is protected by plaster once the run is closed. Heavy gauge is for anywhere the pipe itself may take a knock or a load — surface runs in factories and workshops, plant rooms, warehouse walls, service corridors and any position within reach of moving equipment or stored material. It is also the sensible choice for long horizontal ceiling runs, where a thicker wall resists sag between saddles. When a specification is silent and the run is exposed, heavy gauge is the safe call.
Where PNB Conduit Is Used
The range is specified across residential projects from single homes to apartment towers, and across commercial work in offices, retail, hotels, schools and hospitals where fire-retardant wiring protection is not optional. In industrial installations it carries power and control cabling around plant rooms and production floors. Contractors also use it for structured cabling and CCTV runs, where a smooth-bore conduit means a data cable can be pulled in later, or replaced, without opening a wall — the reason it is worth running spare conduit at first fix even when the cable is not yet needed.
Made to the Standard, Marked to Prove It
The conduit range is ISI marked against IS 9537 and produced under our ISO 9001:2015 quality system, from 100% virgin compound with wall thickness held to gauge along the full length. Electrical contractors, builders and electrical wholesalers work with PNB because the specification on the bundle is the specification in the wall — and because the pipe, the bend and the box all come from the same manufacturer, so they actually fit each other.
