PNB Pipes manufactures roto-moulded plastic water storage tanks for homes, farms, factories and commercial buildings, supplying dealers and project buyers across India directly from our unit in Banda, Uttar Pradesh.

A water tank is a long purchase — most people buy one and forget about it for a decade. That is exactly why the things you cannot see when it is standing in the shop matter most: whether the polyethylene is virgin and food-grade, whether the outer layer is genuinely UV-stabilised, and whether the body is one seamless moulding or something joined together.

What We Manufacture

Triple-layer and premium four-layer tanks, roto-moulded in one piece from 100% food-grade virgin polyethylene, in a wide range of capacities for overhead, loft and ground installation.

LayerWhat It Does
Outer layerUV-stabilised against harsh Indian sunlight, so the tank does not crack, chalk or fade
Middle layerInsulating layer that keeps stored water cooler through the day
Black light-blocking layerStops sunlight reaching the water, which is what starts algae growth
Inner food-grade layerAnti-microbial, non-toxic, taste-free surface in direct contact with your water

The body is moulded seamlessly in one piece. There is no joint, no weld and no seam — so there is nothing to leak, and nothing to rust the way a metal tank does or crack and seep the way a cement tank does.

Why Roto-Moulded Beats Metal and Cement

  • Leak-proof by construction. A one-piece moulding has no seam to fail.
  • Rust-free and corrosion-free — nothing leaches into the water.
  • Light enough to lift onto a roof without a crane or a structural rethink.
  • Cooler water. The insulating layer slows heat gain through the afternoon.
  • Easy to clean, with a smooth interior that does not hold deposits.

How We Make Them

Food-grade virgin polyethylene powder is charged into the mould, which rotates on two axes inside a heated chamber so the material coats the entire wall evenly. Each layer is added in sequence, then the tank is cooled and demoulded as a single piece. Wall thickness, weight and finish are checked before a tank goes to the yard, under our ISO 9001:2015 certified quality system.

We use virgin material only. Recycled polyethylene is cheaper, and it is why some tanks go brittle and chalky after two summers.

Why Buyers Choose PNB as Their Water Tank Manufacturer

  • Food-grade virgin polyethylene — never recycled material in the layer touching your water.
  • Triple and four-layer options so buyers can match the tank to the budget honestly.
  • Manufactured under an ISO 9001:2015 certified quality system.
  • Factory-direct pricing, with slab rates for dealers and project quantities.
  • Tanks and plumbing from one supplier — the pipes and fittings that connect the tank are ours too.

Buyer Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Which is better, a triple-layer or four-layer water tank?
Both use food-grade virgin polyethylene inside. The four-layer adds a dedicated insulating layer, which keeps the water noticeably cooler through the afternoon and gives the tank a longer service life under direct sun. If the tank will sit exposed on a roof all year, the four-layer is worth the difference. For a shaded or indoor position, the triple-layer is plenty.
Are PNB water tanks safe for drinking water?
Yes. The inner layer in contact with the water is food-grade virgin polyethylene with an anti-microbial surface — non-toxic, and it does not impart taste or odour. The black light-blocking layer stops sunlight reaching the water, which is what triggers algae growth in translucent tanks.
What capacities do you manufacture?
We manufacture a wide range of capacities for domestic loft and overhead use through to larger ground-mounted tanks for farms, industry and commercial buildings. Tell us the capacity and quantity you need and we will confirm availability and price.
How long does a roto-moulded water tank last?
A UV-stabilised tank made from virgin material lasts many years in Indian conditions. What shortens that life is recycled polyethylene and a weak UV package — the tank turns chalky, then brittle, then cracks. We use virgin material and a proper UV-stabilised outer layer specifically to avoid that.
Do you supply water tanks to dealers and projects?
Yes. We supply hardware and sanitary dealers, builders, contractors and institutional buyers directly from the factory with slab pricing by quantity. Dealer enquiries for open territories are welcome.
Can I order tanks and plumbing pipes together?
Yes. Water tanks, PVC plumbing pipes and fittings are all manufactured at the same unit, so a mixed consignment ships on one vehicle with one invoice — usually cheaper on freight than ordering separately.
